Here again after a year.
That night we shopped till late and didn’t have any plan for dinner so we decided to go to Yoshino at Mikasa Kaikan, last year we also went to Yoshino because of the travel book. Mikasa Kaikan is a building with seven floors which contains restaurants that specialises in different cuisines. And Yoshino is a Japanese restaurant that provides Kyoto-style Kaiseki cuisine and Shabu-shabu. Last year we went there for Shabu-shabu, we ordered both dinner sets and each got six courses, the Kuroge beef was so delicious with their own sauces. I recommend to order the expensive set cause the quality of Kuroge beef is much better.
My family still chose Shabu-shabu this time and I decided to try the Kaiseki dinner set. Again I chose from two sets, I picked the one with ten courses (10,800 yen) and its name of the set means elegant. The first three courses were cold dishes with vegetables and sashimi. Then I had the clear soup, abalone, grilled fish, Kuroge beef, rice, and fruits. Of course my favourite was the medium rare Kuroge beef, unable to describe how good it was.
It was a delicious dinner, but the Kaiseki cuisine here is considered to be average good, it is not a must-visit restaurant for me.
