The landmark I haven’t visited for a while.
With a curious heart, I visited Tromba Rija, located at Macau Tower, for its Portuguese cuisine. It was founded in 1966 in Leiria, Portugal, and opened its Macau branch in 2014, both the environment and the dishes have a rustic style.
We ordered three starters, the fried clams and cod fish salad were tasty, however the Portuguese air dried ham was quite a disappointment. For the main dishes, the pan fried sirloin steak was okay, I was more interested in the baked duck rice but it was a bit moist in the centre. Lastly, the serradura was out of my expectation, I was thinking of serradura with layers of whipped cream and crumbled biscuits, and the one here was a different kind of serradura, without the layering of crumbled biscuits, it was just a mouth of whipped cream.
Overall, it was mediocre (may be I didn’t ordered the signature dishes?). Anyways, it was one-off.
