A fan of director Wong Kar-wai?
This Thai restaurant’s name In the Mood for Love (화양연화) derives from a 2000 Hong Kong film, and I simply agreed to visit this restaurant by its name when my friend suggested it. Its interior has a nostalgic or vintage vibe, with Wong Kar-wai’s movie posters on the wall.
That night we just ordered pad Thai and salad, due to my ‘always full’ condition we were unable to try other dishes. The salad was really appetising and refreshing, it looked more spicy than its taste. The pad Thai was delicious, but it was very spicy, especially I couldn’t eat anything spicy at all. The one thing I have to criticise is the Thai iced tea, way too milky, the milk already covered the tea flavour, it was the worst I have ever had.
Though it’s not an authentic Thai restaurant, it is still a good place to dine with friends.
